Watercare Building - 73 Remuera Rd

​Watertight was the specialist waterproofing contractor through the construction Of the Watercare Building at 73 Remuera Road in Auckland. SIkaproof bentonite was used as underground tanking of building and foundations 5400m2.  Sikaswell S2 was used as a polyurethane sealant between cold joints in concrete pours as a water stop.

• 2700m2 (90) rolls of Sika Sarnafil membrane was used on site. The rubber membrane was mechanically fixed over the concrete podium area, and over the four large decks on the upper levels and then covered with floating tiles. All the flat areas of the roof and roof gutters are fully adhered sarnafil membrane by Watertight. 
• Watertights' specialist applicators used SIka Blackseal SB (spray applied polymer-modified bitumen waterproofing membrane). It was used on various basement walls around the building and in areas covered by flashing.
• Fiberglass embedded liquid membranes used on site  - under windows and flashings, directly under outside tiled areas like the stairs, over rubbish and maintenance room floors that will be hosed clean, and as waterproofing for the many planter boxes around the site. (bitumen, polyurethane, epoxy and concretious membranes all used in different situations). All jointing and sealant work between concrete panels was carried out on site by Watertight.
