​Watertight The Waterproofing People was the specialist waterproofing contractor throughout the construction of the new Telecom headquarters at 167 Victoria Street West in the centre of Auckland.  The Telecom site is the single biggest city office building platform in New Zealand with telecom consolidating their Scatted operations all into one purpose filled building.

• ​First port of call was the laying and installation of SikaProof Bentonite to waterproof the basement areas. Sikaproof bentonite was used under the main bottom basement floor  (200mm thick reinforced concrete) and up and under the precast walls up three story's to ground level. In some areas there was little to no working space between the piled back excavation wall and precast panels. SikaProof Bentonite was instead pre-bonded to the panels at the pre cast concrete factory and comes on site ready to go. Approx. 11,000m2 Sikaproof Bentonite as well as 200 pails of Sikaproof Bentonite Paste was used throughout the project. 
• ​Watertight was responsible for all waterstops and sealants on site... All basement area cold joints between concrete pours were made watertight with SikaSwell S2, a polyurethane sealant that swells when it makes contact with water. Watertight used Sika AT Facade sealant to joint all concrete panels on site, both those above and below ground.
• Watertight was the first company in New Zealand to use Sika Sarnafil. Sika sarnafil high proformance rubber membrane was fully adhered to the plywood guttering of the main roof. It was layed, mechanically fixed and laps heat welded over the concrete decks on the top penthouse story of the building. It was also used over the plywood overhangs of the bottom level and also used under the tiles on the exposed ground floor areas. Watertight used 4500m2 approximately on the job.
